Parish Administrator
St Georges and St Pauls Church in Tiverton are recruiting an administrator to join the staff team and practically support the churches ministry. We are seeking a well organised, flexible individual who has excellent communication skills and a good level of administrative experience. You will be a welcoming first point of contact for members of the public and the congregation whilst running a busy office. Regular tasks will include preparation for Sunday service, managing our premises bookings, assisting our treasurer with bookkeeping and updating our church database and calendar. An ability to prioritise workload and to balance weekly tasks alongside longer-term work is essential.
Experience in one or more of the following areas is essential,

Working knowledge of the local church and community

Running social media accounts

Working with Church Suite or similar CRM/database

Experience with ProPresenter church presentation software

A good understanding of Microsoft 365

Safeguarding administration/safer recruitment

Bookkeeping and financial systems

Working with members of the public

Use of WIX for website administration
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to use their existing administrative skills and after a thorough induction you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge, while working together with the vicar and other ministry team members to fulfil the churches mission to our local community.
Details
SALARY and BENEFITS: circa £18954, part of a supportive team with management structures in place, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata), sick pay provision (on completion of probation period), pension scheme, initial twelve-month initial contract.
HOURS: 30 Hours per week, including a TOIL arrangement for 1 hour every 2 weeks on a Sunday and occasional out of hours for meetings by negotiation. Overtime may occasionally be available, and a job share will be considered.
