Keeping you safe during the pandemic
Your safety is very important to us and we are carefully following the latest advice from the Government and The Church of England.
Here's what to expect when visiting us in person:
Face coverings/masks
Face coverings are no longer mandatory in church, however government advice is that they are recommended in enclosed or crowded places. We would ask that whatever you personally choose to do, that you please be aware of the different views of others and show respect and grace at all times. Thank you.
Social Distancing
Please be mindful and respectful of one another. Some people still wish to remain distanced and may be anxious about coming into close proximity with others. We continue to have a little more space in between the rows in church than usual, to allow for social distancing. We suggest putting your coat or bag on the chair next to you, if you do not wish someone to sit there.
Communion
The PCC have agreed to reintroduce serving communion with bread and wine. The bread for now will continue to be wafers and the wine will be served from the common (shared) cup only.
For many the return to wine has been a long time coming, for others there is still concern, and we are sympathetic to this. Please know that to receive the wine is completely optional. Your communion in one kind is still complete and full.
Please note, we will not be allowing intinction (dipping the wafer into the wine), and at this time we will only be offering alcoholic wine.
We have a gluten free wafer option available - just let us know when you come up.
Symptoms
We would ask that you please do not attend church If you feel unwell, are exhibiting any Covid-19 symptoms or have recently tested positive for Covid-19.
