CHAT Food Appeal

Churches Housing Action Team ('CHAT'), one of our key local mission partners, has issued an update for their appeal for food supplies.

"Due to amazing generosity CHAT’s food store shelves are looking far healthier and they no longer need people to buy in large quantities - a couple of items once a week or fortnight from those who’d like to give is fantastic and will keep them ‘ticking over’. Please use the list below as it is the way to be most helpful to those in need.  Please no baked beans, tinned tomatoes or tinned soup as they have said they won't run out of those for at least a year!"

Meat - Cold Meat – ham, turkey, chicken, corned beef, Stews, curries, Chilli con carne, Mince, Meatballs, Spagetti bolognaise, Hot dogs, Ravioli, Beans with sausages, Pies (eg Fray Bentos)

Fruit/Veg - Potatoes, Peas, Carrots, Mushrooms, Green beans, Mixed veg, Peaches, Mandarins, Fruit cocktail, Pineapple

Other food

Rice – packets, tins of rice pudding

Custard – tins, packets or cartons

Milk (long-life) – Litre and half litre cartons

Fruit juice – Litre and multipack mini cartons

Pasta - 500g packs, Pasta ‘n’ sauce packets, sauce for pasta

For rough-sleepers: small cans with ring pull, small juices, individual crisp packets, cereal bars

Toiletries - Antiperspirant, shampoo and body wash (2 in 1 is great)
