St George and St Paul’s is led by a whole group of people. From our church wardens and PCC to those who oversee our children’s groups, there are lots of people involved - we believe that every member has an important part to play in our church community. However, here are some key people who you’re pretty certain to see involved:
Andy Humm is the Vicar of St George & St Paul. He is married to Sarah and they have two children. Andy joined us in September 2016.
Andy's background is in youth ministry and church planting, working in Brussels and America and North London prior to training at St John's Nottingham. Before coming to Tiverton, Andy worked in Loughborough in Leicestershire. He loves being outdoors and enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.
David Lyddon is the Associate Minister, meaning he is unpaid by the church but ordained and fully involved! He is married to Lynne and they have three grown up children.
David is a former dentist, working both in the UK and for 7 years with the Church Missionary Society in Kenya during the 1970s. He provides pastoral support as well as being involved generally in the life of the church.
Ben Maynard is our Youth Worker, overseeing the church’s programme for 11 to 18 year olds. Married to Sarah, the couple have five young children. They are passionate about releasing the potential of young people and work with a fantastic group of leaders.
Ben is a dab hand with a spanner - previously working as a car mechanic. Sarah is just a dab hand - she’s a physiotherapist.
Tim Bradshaw is a licenced Reader at St George and St Paul. He is married to Sharon and they have two children, Naomi and Josh. They moved to Tiverton in 1991 when Tim left the Royal Navy. He now works as a field engineer.
He is enthusiastic about welcoming people into the church and telling others the Good News of Jesus Christ. When relaxing Tim enjoys working with wood, gardening and watching films.
